Whitefish Family Photographer

Have you ever been to Whitefish in the winter time? I know you might be thinking that this is a lead in to what an amazing little ski-town it is or how wicked awesome it is to shred snow up on the mountain (Whitefish Mountain Resort). I am actually here to talk about the town and how festive it is during the holidays. It’s like a Hallmark movie, but better.

I bring you the Wade family, traveling to Whitefish, MT from Iowa. They actually have a place here locally, so it’s a home away from home. I am envious of having two locations that you can call home, and visit whenever you want! Their three kids were tired, what more could you ask from teenagers at 8:00am, I needed coffee myself. The kids were troopers and actually had a lot of fun during the session. We ventured up and down the streets of whitefish, hitting a few of my favorite pleasing back drops. Dad snagged a cup of coffee while I photographed the kids and we continued on.

Documenting memories for a lifetime.

What to do in Whitefish | Winter

Visiting Whitefish is a special treat, offering so much to do in such a small little town. Aside from downhill skiing, there are so many things you can do to occupy your time. Below I'll share my three favorite things you can do with your family while you’re in town.

Top Three Family Activities in Whitefish Montana:

1) Ice Skating at Stumptown Ice Den.

Fun for the whole family, you can skate for just $7. Kids 5 and under are free. The rentals are $3 a person. They have food and drinks available for purchase.

2) Art Creations at Stumptown Art Studio.

Offering pottery painting and glass fusion for all. You can choose from pre-made pottery items, paint them and pick them up after they have been fired in the kiln.

3) Cross country ski lessons at Glacier Nordic Club.

Located at the Whitefish Lake Golf Course, it's close to town and you can grab dinner afterwards to warm up. If you don’t need lessons, you can grab a day pass starting at $15.

As a Whitefish family and couples photographer, I take pride in knowing the town and the area. I’ve eaten at the restaurants and utilized what the town has to offer. I like to help potential clients navigate their trips so they can enjoy the area to the fullest.

I think its super important to document their memories of a trip, so I highly encourage booking a portrait session with a Whitefish Photographer (cough cough... me) and remembering the laughter, excitement, and joy your vacation brings you! Of course, you get a local expert at your fingertips when you book! You can simply fill out the contact form on my website and I'll be in touch with details and availability.
