Whitefish Family Session | Baxter Family

When the Baxters inquired about a fun-filled Whitefish family photography session, I was struck immediately by their excitement to capture genuine love in their family, including their fur-children, Porter and Murphy! But I never could have guessed how amazingly warm and friendly they’d be in person! What is most extraordinary about this family, though, is undeniably the love they have for each other!

Jennifer and Colin have been together many years, and since saying “I do” they’ve welcomed their little one, Jocelyn into their small family. And what an adorable crew they make! Jennifer and Colin are still so into each other, and it’s evident in every moment they get to be alone. I couldn’t help but smile as they casually walk along the lake shore under the fading light of the sunset. Their kiddo was as equally as precious! She was overjoyed when I asked her to twirl in circles and smile for me, her grin was so contagious!

As you can see from even just a quick glance through their photos, genuine connection, love, and joy are the qualities that turn beautiful family photos into the kind that take your breath away! Those sincere moments of connection are the ones families like the Baxters will treasure for decades.

But as a Whitefish family photographer, my number one goal is to infuse every gallery with the unique personality of the family in front of my lens! I noticed right away that the Baxters were especially silly and loveable, so I made it my mission to capture that in photos! By incorporating some fun with a Pendleton blanket, getting Jocelyn to smile and play under it, I was able to highlight what makes them so special! We had so much fun at Les Mason State Park, just before sunset, the evening was perfect!

It’s also so important to me that family photos this playful don’t just hide away on your computer hard drive forever. I encourage all my clients to invest in displays for their images, whether that be through an heirloom album to pass around on holidays or a gallery wall full of prints. And if you ever need a hand designing or creating your displays, I’m always thrilled to help!

Did you know you can order prints right from your online gallery?

I had such a blast telling the Baxter’s family story with my camera, and I hope to hang out with them again soon!
