About Me

MEET YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER

After growing up in a busy Washington town, the cozy quiet of Montana was something I had to learn to love. But after 19 years, it’s completely stolen my heart! The Big Sky State definitely lives up to its name (helloooooo, best sunsets ever!), and you really can’t beat a place that has breathtaking mountain views less than an hour away. So, with landscapes like these right out your front door, who wouldn’t want to become a photographer?

Well, initially, I didn’t really. I actually became a nurse! But I was still fascinated by landscape and portrait photography, so I treated myself to a starter DSLR. But when my brother gifted me a camera for my wedding, I felt that tingly new adventure feeling in my fingertips. I dove immediately into photography courses and fumbled my way through new techniques until I eventually had to admit I was pretty dang good at this! But it wasn’t until I recognized I could truly blend my love for the outdoors with my love of capturing human moments that I became unstoppable!

Today, I am proud to bring my unique sprinkling of adventure to elopements, couples, families, and senior photography. With a style that is, above all, defined by natural beauty and sincere connection, I create the kind of art you’ll keep hanging on your wall ‘til you’re 100! Because, honestly, I think bland, awkwardly posed are the WORST! I want to make you laugh, explore, and genuinely enjoy every moment of your session, making beautiful memories along the way. And remember, I’m a part-time nurse, too, so if you scrape your knee scrambling over rocks, you better believe you’ll get first-rate care.

Our own kind of family ♥

When I’m not with clients exploring in Glacier National Park or sloshing through rivers, I’m probably headed out for a long drive to the bison range or snuggled up tight with my husband, Dana, and our three rescue dogs (Tucker, Bailey-girl, and Smokey) with our noses in a book! Dana and I both enjoy reading (he's a much faster reader than I )! During our off time together, we also enjoy roadtrips (sometimes two weeks long) visiting national parks and other

places around the U.S. We bought our first travel trailer in 2023 and can't wait to go camping in new places in the coming years!

But enough about me! I can’t wait to meet you and tell your story! So, let’s schedule that elopement, intimate wedding, or adventure session you've always dreamed about and make some incredible memories along the way!

WHY DO I LOVE HANGING WITH TRAVELERS SO MUCH, ANYWAY?

Because I am one! Honestly, I’d live out of a suitcase and travel 24/7 if I could. Exploring new places and experiencing new cultures is my jam! Don’t be surprised if, after telling me about your next trip, I respond with my trademark, “Can you pack me in your suitcase when you go?” Especially if you’re headed to New York City, Australia, New Zealand, Switzerland, or North Carolina. Yeah, I said North Carolina! It’s no Paris, but it IS where all the Nicholas Sparks books are set, and that’s enough for me!

My love for travel inspires me to ensure you have the absolute best experience as a traveler in my home state. And because I spend so much time in the Montana wilderness, these mountains, fields, and forests feel as much a part of my home to me as my cozy living room couch. So, if you ever have any questions about where to sleep, what to eat, or how to see the sights, please let me know! I’d love to share my hospitality and insight!

Leave No Trace

I believe in leaving our earth beautiful for the next person after us. I also believe in planning ahead, having consideration for the people around me, packing out what I packed in, traveling on durable surfaces, and leaving what I find (pretty flowers and rocks) for the next person. I incorporate these practices in my business and philosophy as a photographer, and expect my clients to as well. We can all do better to make this world a better place! Learn more at www.LNT.org

MY GREATEST INSPIRATION

Long before I prompted my first couple to kiss like no one’s watching, I was inspired by the astonishing landscapes of the Rocky Mountains and the Pacific Northwest. And that’s probably what first caught your eye in my images, too! These incredible natural wonders have shaped me as a photographer, and I’m beyond delighted to offer them to you as art to display in your home or office.
