Fun Fact: Did you know that I lived in Washington State until I was 15?
Though I now call Montana my home and I couldn’t imagine living anywhere else, Washington holds a special place in my heart. At least twice a year I make the trek to the Pacific Northwest to visit family and get my twice-yearly dose of salty sea air! While I am there I also like to offer those in the Pacific Northwest the opportunity to book with me. I love that I get the chance to be a Washington Photographer, as well as a Montana Photographer.
On my last trip to Washington in April 2022, I got the chance to meet Trina and Char, an awesome couple from Kent, a city about 20 miles south of Seattle. These two met in 2020 while working at one of the local hospitals, and they have been inseparable ever since. Char and Trina also have the cutest Labradoodles, Penelope and Steen (not pictured below).
Washington Photographer
We held their photo session at a private farm in Buckley, WA, the property had a gorgeous crab apple tree and a huge blooming cherry tree. There was also plenty of lush green grass and fully matured pine trees. There is a reason Washington is known as the evergreen state! If you're unsure where we can host your photo session if you book with me, I recommend looking at the Wild Hearts Farm, they offer their property and studios for rent for photography! There is also the option of using Peerspace to find a studio rental, like this cute one here.
I couldn’t believe that Trina and Char had never had professional photos done before. These two were natural’s in front of the camera. The love radiated off of them and you could tell they are meant for each other. In true Washington fashion, the weather for our session was hit or miss, we were dodging scattered rain clouds and working with uncooperative lighting. Finally, the sun came out and we were left with wet pavement and harsh sunlight at the end of their session. I hope I get the chance to work with Char and Trina next time I head to Washington!
