Queue the heart flutters...

Stevi and I met through mutual friends a few years back. We've hung out for girls nights and our friendship grew. She has a heart of gold and truly cares about the people in her life. I've known Justin for about a decade from the "Eureka" school days, and my heart has always been rooting for him and Stevi.

Stevi asked me about Engagement Photos last winter, we planned for a romantic session at their home and on their property. The snow was knee deep and Justin shoveled us a path to take images on, the snow lightly fell, and love was captured. I remember when Stevi told me about how much Justin was dreading photos (what man doesn't?) and I reassured her that it will be low key and fun. She told me after their session that day that he told her it was one of the best experiences he'd had with a photographer.

Now, I don't advertise myself as a wedding photographer, and don't plan to. I simply don't have the time in my life to do weddings full time and honestly, let the pros handle that. I have taken a few select weddings this year, Stevi and Justin being one of the lucky couples. Stevi managed to talk me into photographing her wedding, and I don't regret it one bit.

The day pulled at my heart strings. Love filled the air. Family and friends from afar gathered to celebrate the love of this amazing couple. They had a small romantic and intimate wedding on a portion of the property that had yet to be used for a ceremony site. There was lots of swooning and laughter during the ceremony, and joyous celebration afterwards. When I stole the couple away for portraits they soaked up all that newlywed feelers and had a minute to themselves. Thats when the real magic happens, if you ask me.
