When planning your Montana elopement, one of the first things you should consider arranging and booking is lodging. Places around Glacier National Park fill up quickly, especially during the busy season. About three million people visit that park between May and September alone, and the Kalispell and Whitefish areas see a massive influx of people during this time. That means that looking for lodging should be on the top priority list! Luckily, there are many different types of accommodations in Whitefish and Kalispell. Camping, short-term rentals, and hotels are popular options for couples visiting the area for their elopements and intimate weddings.

Lodging in Whitefish

For great short-term rentals, some excellent resources for finding lodging near Glacier National Park are Airbnb and VRBO. At the same time, HipCamp and Glamping Hub are great sites to find great camping and glamping stays! If you plan to bring your entourage for your big day, you may look for a second location for guests to stay. Finding a site or rental big enough can be challenging. Check out my blog, Top 7 Places to Stay in and Around Glacier National Park, for recommendations on great places to stay.

I met Caitlin and Kevin on a warm June day at their Airbnb in Kalispell, MT. Caitlin and Kevin met online and instantly connected over their love for animals. Kevin’s fondest memory of Caitlin is when she rescued a baby squirrel and had it in her bathtub. That moment sealed the deal for Kevin; Caitlin was the one!

We started their elopement day with getting ready photos, and then we moved to the beautiful porch of the BnB, where Kevin and Caitlin did their first look. Caitlin was stunning in her lace dress, fully equipped with pockets and floral embroidered ked’s. We then headed to Glacier National Park. We found our way to a field of beargrass nestled amongst the pines before we headed to the shores of Lake Mcdonald. We could not have asked for a better day. The mountains were showing off for their day. Talk about a spectacular view! After visiting a few other locations in Glacier, we made our way to Whitefish, where we met their family at another beautiful VRBO. Kevin and Caitlin exchanged vows surrounded by their closest family and friends.

Sealed with a kiss, Caitlin and Kevin are finally married! The couple and their guests made their way to the deck of the beautiful rental, where we had family photos and a champagne pop. The couple then enjoyed a delicious catered dinner from Farm Meets Foodie, followed by their beautiful mountain and wildflower-themed cake from Mountian Mama’s Cupcakery. Caitlin and Kevin’s day was filled with so much love and natural beauty, and I’m happy I was there to capture it!
