I LOVE Montana... thats no lie. I moved here about 17 years ago and my love for this state has grown so incredibly deep. Sometimes I don't have the words to express my love, rather a quote thats already been said, can describe it for me. Montana Quote #1

-John Steinbeck

John Steinbeck, who the heck is this guy?

John Steinbeck (1902-1968) was an American author, who won a Nobel Prize in 1962. Known "for his realistic and imaginative writings, combining as they do sympathetic humour and keen social perception." John traveled across America, by road trip, with his dog Charley in 1962, learning of what the "new America" and experiencing Montana. This book (Travels with Charley: In Search of America) is where many of his famous quotes about Montana came about.

Montana Quote #3

-Abraham Lincoln
Abraham Lincoln, He said what?

He originally made this remark, or quote while signing into legislature the Montana Organic Act in 1864. This document effectively made Montana a territory of the Union (which encompassed the geographical north of what would come to be the United States). Little did he know, Montana is perfect and is invented, fast forward to 2021 ;)

Montana Quote #4

This took me a little longer than I anticipated to find the origination of this quote. However, back in 2013 Montana Mint did a series on their Instagram where they showed gorgeous images of Montana and have the quote "Montana or Heaven?" written across them... caption stating that the correct answer is "Montana IS heaven!"

Montana Quote #5

"Montana, A state that gets so deep into your soul that it hurts when you're away from it"

-unknown

Eternal love for Montana?

Maybe you're just as in love as I am... Maybe you're just discovering the place, congrats! Try not to fall in love, okay? This great state has seen substantial growth in 2020, I partly blame social media. Geotags, hashtags, the easiest way on earth to discover a new location and have pictures to go with it! I also blame the pandemic, people wanted to move where Covid numbers were the lowest, can you blame em? So if you end up finding Montana, or the Flathead Valley (Kalispell, Whitefish, Columbia Falls, Glacier National Park; and you're in the market for a new family photographer... I'm your girl *inserts shameless plug*. Feel free to contact me through my website! You can also view some of my recent blogs about the area to help you learn a little more. These are especially helpful blogs if you're traveling to the area, so check em out!
